(NDT) NON-DESTRUCTIVE INSPECTION

NDT Non-Destructive Testing

We provide NDT Non-Destructive inspection and reporting services that you will request for your welded productions. You can get service from us with international accreditation or welding engineer approval options.

VT – Visual Inspection

The VT Test is the first of the Nondestructive Testing test. It is tested whether the welded part is made according to the relevant standards and regulations. Flashlight, welding caliper and magnifying glasses may be used during the test.

Welding controls made visually are carried out by personnel who are experts in their fields.

The purpose of the test is to determine whether there is a geometric defect in the welded area and whether there is an application that affects the quality, such as compliance with the technical specification.

MT- Magnetic Particle Test

The MT test is used to detect welding errors and discontinuities that occur on or below the surface. By applying magnetic current to the material surface with the machinery used equipment, magnetic waves come to the material surface and help us detect the error. In order to perform this test, it is important that the part to be tested is magnetizable. It cannot be applied in stainless or composite materials.

These tests are carried out and reported by authorized personnel according to TS 7477 standard.

PT- Penetrant Test

This test is another method of detecting surface defects in welds. The welding zones desired to be detected are expected to be open to the surface. Pre-cleaning is important. Cleaning with pieces or pieces of fabric that leave residue is not recommended. During the application, 3 pieces of liquid are used. There are different brands of these liquids on the market. The types for these liquids are defined in EN 3452-1 standard.

First of all, surface cleaning is done,

Penetrant liquid is applied,

Wait for 15-20 minutes, interim cleaning is done,

The developer is applied,

At the end of all these processes, an evaluation is made, if repair is required, a report is prepared including it, and if the source is appropriate, the process is completed by preparing a report that it is appropriate.

UT- Ultrasonic Test

The UT Test is used in NDT tests. It is applied to detect discontinuities in the material on the surface of the welded part.

Ultrasonic tester is applied with angle probes and connection equipment.

The purpose of the test is to detect linear errors by placing probes on the welded surface

The UT test is a test method that requires serious experience. It is based on knowing and interpreting the equipment used. The method works with a system of reflection by sending high-frequency sound waves to the material. The equipment used has probes. It is used according to the angle of the part to be tested. If the sound waves sent to the material are weak, it is determined that there is an error in that area. The exact location of the error is revealed on the device screen. With this method, weld seam, forged materials, casting materials, can be tested. Due to the fact that their equipment is expensive, it is found in more competent and professional companies than other methods.
